Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Selous Game Reserve

Depart from Dar es Salaam.
Drive to Selous Game Reserve, one of Africa’s largest and most diverse wildlife reserves.
Arrive in Selous, check-in at your lodge/camp, and settle in.
Optional afternoon boat safari along the Rufiji River or guided nature walk.
Dinner and overnight stay in Selous.

Day 2: Full Day in Selous Game Reserve

Early breakfast.
Full day of game drives and exploration in Selous.
Discover the abundant wildlife and pristine landscapes.
Boat safari along the Rufiji River (optional, if available).
Picnic lunch within the reserve.
Evening: Return to the lodge/camp in Selous.
Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Nature Walk and Drive to Mikumi

Early morning guided nature walk to experience the reserve from a different perspective, return to the lodge/camp for breakfast and check-out.
Drive to Mikumi National Park.
Arrive at Mikumi, check-in at your lodge/camp, and rest.
Optional late afternoon game drive (if time allows).
Dinner and overnight stay in Mikumi.

Day 4: Full Day in Mikumi National Park

Early breakfast.
Full day of game drives in Mikumi National Park.
Explore the diverse wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests.
Visit the Mkata Floodplain for an excellent chance to spot predators.
Picnic lunch within the park.
Continue with afternoon game drives.
Evening: Return to the lodge/camp in Mikumi.
Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Full Day in Udzungwa Mountains National Park

Early breakfast.
Full day to explore Udzungwa Mountains National Park.
Guided hiking to discover the lush rainforests, waterfalls, and diverse flora.
Enjoy the natural beauty, birdwatching, and possibly spot the Udzungwa red colobus monkey.
Picnic lunch within the park.
Return to the lodge/camp in Mikumi for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Leisurely Breakfast and Return to Dar es Salaam

Enjoy a relaxed morning.
Late breakfast and check-out from your accommodation.
Drive back to Dar es Salaam, marking the end of your memorable South Tanzania adventure.
